- djsbs 5y agoLet me give you another opportunity. While you’re at it, care to expound a little more than “reframing”? Did those laws not exist? Did they not grant rights unheard of in the 16th century? Are there not vastly larger populations of natives south of Rio Grande? Did I not acknowledge that crimes were committed (but were leas in intensity and duration than of other colonizers)? I mean, my comment surely hurts the pride of Anglos (and Dutch) - for all their moaning of conquistadors Northern Europeans were far more brutal than Spain. Theres no contest.
