Why would you say this? The US does not require consent to cookies, but we still see it on almost every website. Is this because webmasters are too lazy to prompt it only based on region?
- jklinger410 5y agoWebmasters choose to obey it because their lawyers recommended it. I've never seen a court case in the US over cookie notices or privacy protection. If someone has an example of one, please share it with me. In fact, US companies are constantly mishandling our data with little to no repercussions.
