I opened an account 3 weeks ago and had pretty much the same experience. But.. then I unfollowed every verified account and topic, and it got much better. Once you find a few accounts you like it's easier to find more. Since then I've discovered many cool resources and been invited to niche dev communities. It's too early to say if it's worth it yet but I would say yes if I can grow to a few hundred followers. (At that point you have supported to boost product hunt launches, people to give feedback, amplify your support issues, etc)
