- smt88 5y agoThis wasn't a particularly interesting or novel prediction in 2009. TiVo had existed for years. That's all people really do differently with their TV/computers today: they watch on-demand. Even in 2009, some people had set up Linux machines as entertainment boxes to create early Roku-like devices that could stream pirated or ripped content.
- Flankk 5y agoHe's not talking about TiVo and Roku. The only thing different is on-demand streaming? That's laughable. YouTube created a new category where anyone can have their own TV show. Twitch took it a step further by making it live and interactive with the audience. Paul was dead on with this one.
- smt88 5y agoPG was talking about the devices people used to consume media, not to produce it.
- beardyw 5y agoThe article is called "Why TV Lost". Not sure I understand the new title here?
