I'm curious why McKinsey-- because of the opioid scandal?

• burntoutfire 5y ago
McKinsey is basically bullshit as a service. I don't know anyone who worked there who held its services in high (or any) regard.

For me McKinsey is a company that consults governments and big corps at the same time and then influences government policy in favour of the corps.

You’re mixing them up with McKesson

They're actually not. McKinsey advised opioid makers on how to boost sales at the expense of medical ethics[1]. McKinsey is an absurdly evil company that is willing to destroy millions of lives for money, up to (and including) committing fraud and aiding authoritarian governments[2][3][4][5][6]. 1. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/03/business/mckinsey-opioids-settlement.html https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/03/business/mckinsey-opioids... 2. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/02/how-mckinsey-destroyed-middle-class/605878/ https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/02/how-mckins... 3. https://www.quora.com/What-s-the-most-evil-thing-McKinsey-has-ever-done https://www.quora.com/What-s-the-most-evil-thing-McKinsey-ha... 4. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/27/business/mckinsey-purdue-oxycontin-opioids.html https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/27/business/mckinsey-purdue-... 5. https://www.quora.com/What-s-the-most-evil-thing-McKinsey-has-ever-done https://www.quora.com/What-s-the-most-evil-thing-McKinsey-ha... 6. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/11/what-a-spectacularly-ill-advised-idea-says-about-mckinsey.html https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/11/what-a-spectacularly...
