The pitch drop 1930's science experiment is the longest running, and they hope their steel monolith lasts that long.
If it isn't a dwelling, likely leaks which corrode will happen quickly and be untreated.
If the atmosphere is unrecoverable then they are hoping for an alien to recover it which has a host of other problems.
If the earth does recover and people find this before it rots are we anticipating they will be able to retrieve the data?
It is more likely some chieftain will have a nice magnetic platter disc necklace, than it is for a civilization to have the right understanding and capability to get back the data. On the off chance it is recovered for its intended purpose, it will be a wealth of information.
