The Vice President of the US Should Not Be Using Bluetooth Headphones
- zck 5y agoThe original Politico article (https://www.politico.com/newsletters/west-wing-playbook/2021/12/06/kamala-harris-is-bluetooth-phobic-495343 https://www.politico.com/newsletters/west-wing-playbook/2021...) had a really weird tone. It read a little sarcastic to me. After starting with downplaying her concerns, it ends with almost mockery: > But still, should someone who travels with the nuclear football be spending time untangling her headphone wires? The American people deserve answers! >The vice president’s office did not respond when asked if there was a “fun origin story” to Harris’ Bluetooth wariness, or for any background on the particular security risks Harris believes Bluetooth technology represents.
- impendingchange 5y agoI wonder if the Bluetooth waves interfere with the nuclear football functionality.
- whateveracct 5y agoWhy is the title "should not be using" when she in fact "does not use" bluetooth headphones already? Feels baity.
- mikestew 5y agoTitle should be in quotes, or something. It is baity, because it implies something (the VP is using BT headphones, and shouldn't) that isn't true.
- colanderman 5y agoIt's in response to various articles in the right-wing news sphere that have been mocking her for not using Bluetooth headphones, because... sensible opsec is uncool I guess?
- NoPicklez 5y agoThis article should have a ", says VP" at the end of it.
- horns4lyfe 5y agoWhy does anyone care about this?
