I know it's "in" to shit on ubiqitui right now - but the new Ubiquti Dream Router and the older Unifi Dream Machine are the best spiritual successor I have seen to this device. The UDM comes out of the box with the switch and AP, which performas well, while the UDR also has PoE switches and WIFI 6 in case you want to run other APs or security cameras. And before anyone else jumps in with old information,as of the latest firmware, it does not require cloud access. And the PPoE performance problem has been fixed. It was a bumpy transition for a bit because they moved off of Vyatta to generic Linux for the routers.
