I don't see how it's possible to judge the severity of omicron when it was only identified two weeks ago. Considering how it often takes a couple weeks to develop severe covid symptoms (the people who develop severe symptoms apparently often appear to recover somewhat first) isn't it an apples to oranges to compare the percentage of severe cases in people who presumably only just contracted omicron and haven't fully recovered yet with the percentage of severe cases from Delta?
