wow - it's 20months from they first showed quill on HN (April 2020) - let's say it it had taken them 4 months prior to dev first version (Beta) - that's ~2 years to startup.
Giving user 4-days to export data, it's it's pretty similar to pulling the power cable on the server to shut it down ... unless they just had friends & family (piloting) using it, it's very odd. that's also not taking into account data protection / retention periods that business have to comply with local/regional jurisdiction laws.
having said that, concrats on exiting - acquhire or not, it's no mean feat.
