Years ago I wrote the official Rust FAQ [1] (now defunct). The questions were selected based on surveys of Rust users on the major Rust community spaces at the time, and a link to the FAQ was added near the top of the "Documentation" page of the old Rust site. It was also translated into multiple other languages as part of internationalizing the site. That said, I think it had minimal impact. Often when I would discuss it with others, their response was to be surprised that Rust had a FAQ. There were good answers in there, to questions people genuinely asked frequently, but putting so many useful answers next to each in a single page people were unlikely to discover did not end up being very helpful.
