Generating 360° Video Game Panoramas
- chpatrick 5y agoNvidia's Ansel can make panoramas too.
- ignitionmonkey 5y agoI mentioned that in passing. Something like that would be preferred but Ansel is Nvidia-specific and only a relatively small number of games support it. https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/games/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/geforce-experience/game...
- waste_monk 5y agoIn the opposite but related direction, I was surprised to find out that the skyboxes from Homeworld 2 are not textured - they are just spheres with vertex coloring. https://simonschreibt.de/gat/homeworld-2-backgrounds/ https://simonschreibt.de/gat/homeworld-2-backgrounds/ https://simonschreibt.de/gat/homeworld-2-backgrounds-tech/ https://simonschreibt.de/gat/homeworld-2-backgrounds-tech/
- greenknight 5y agoI believe if you are definetly moving the camera in a 'robotic' way and predictable way, using a tool like PTGui and their Align to Grid function, will help for those shots which dont have distinct features.
- ignitionmonkey 5y agoThe camera automation isn't very predictable due to the digital/timer/analog movement, input lag between AHK/Windows/Cemu, and inconsistent framerate/time caused by the nature of emulation. Just too many layers. My automation overshoots to make up for that. Maybe that doesn't matter with PTGui. I'll try it out next time I get the chance. Thanks!
