I've been driving for five years now and left turn still stresses me out in downtown LA

  Recently visited LA with wife, not the first time, but I had to joke, "This is a city where the weak can't drive - only the strong-willed will survive and make it to their destination!" FWIW I did make it to the hotel, though emotionally scarred.

    To test your strength, try Paris, France. Especially around the massive roundabouts without lane markings and intermingled with various extra red lights. When you have graduated from this. You can afford a detour to Milan, Italy. Over there, traffic signals are superseeded by your skills at honking. I was told driving in India is many time worse!

      Haha, I grew up in Seoul so I'm no stranger to traffic hell. (Though I also heard that India is at another level.) At least, in Seoul, I could avoid driving 99% of time. Harder to do it as tourist in LA ...
