The sports results are clear. MVP awards are subjective decisions by a judging class. There are too many examples of the right person not winning awards and the wrong persons winning awards. Some awards oftentimes give awards to recipients who are the exact antithesis of the purported eponymous award and its “mission.”
The Nobel Peace Prize is often given to war criminals who bomb and destroy countries. There is even a Nobel Peace Prize recipient that bombed another recipient:

- perl4ever 5y agoI think one would have to assess how much worse the score would be without the goalkeeper before saying it is or isn't a silly award. I don't know anything about handball. As far as Nobel Peace Prizes go, the point is to encourage people to make peace, so they're supposed to go to (granted, not only to) warmongers or combatants who do something significant to prevent war. There are billions of people who are peaceful, but don't advance the cause of global peace.
