I'm not sure what connection you refer to. The Phoenicians are not referred to until ~1500BCE, by which time the Mycenaean and Minoans had been doing their things (mostly trading) for a few hundred years. The Phoenicians didn't peak until after the Late Bronze Age Situation (~1200BCE).
