- GDC7 5y agoEpstein is a nothing burger . He was the one pursuing people in finance and politics, not the other way around . And it appears it was the case also for late Senator Dole Also if you believe he was some modern day mastermind of Hitler-esque fashion …then taking money from him was always the right thing to do . Less money at his disposal and when he comes knocking for an illegal favor you can always tell him to f*k off given that you have already spent the money to get in office or in Bill Gates’ case to ship vaccines to subsaharan Africa
- h2odragon 5y agoFrom Presidential candidate to boner pill salesman. Quite a career. He did do some other stuff back before then, the things that got him into politics in the first place, but that's ancient history, right? Never met him to talk to myself, but spent some time working with people who were supporters and neighbors of his, at about the peak of his career. Their relentlessly positive opinions of him were a better testimony to his character than anything else could have been. Even the people who didn't like him spoke well of him, "Good friend but a cast iron bastard to cross"
