I think you'll find that most doesn't want to see anyone burn, this is a huge part of why we care to reach out to people. Annoying as it might be at least the fractions I know actually care for people, and many of us try to do so as "un-annoyingly" as possible. Misguided or not, we obviously think what we believe is correct and we want to help others - not seing anyone burn if we can avoid it. Otherwise we should just shut up and enjoy our own lives as talking to people about it is quite stressful.
