Both are correct but it’s also regional to an extent. Bands/music groups are a good example.
US says “Ace of Base is coming to the States”
Versus UK “Ace of Base are…”
- cperciva 5y agoNot sure why this comment was dead but I vouched to resurrect it since atkailash has the right answer here. Whether a group (family, band, or entire corporation) is treated as singular or plural differs between US and UK English.
