'Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Alphabet’s Larry Page, Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Palantir’s Peter Thiel are just a few of the super-rich who have taken a keen interest in the fast-emerging field of longevity`
- judge2020 5y agoRegarding Google / Larry Page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_(company) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_(company).
- hooande 5y agohas this company done anything note worthy since 2013?
- hellbannedguy 5y agoYea, they want to live forever. Just the thought of having these guys around past 90 is nauseating. And why? They all use their money in narcisstic ways, and get out if paying taxes in clever ways. Look at every name on that list above me. Take a name, and put what they contributed to society; are we better off with their birth? Bezos=I think the world would be better off without Amazon Page=Well he started off promising. Thiel=Basically bought a jury trial with great legal teams over his sexuality. Ellison=All those fees he charged for his products were past on to us. Gates=Used a nonprofit to skirt paying taxes. Less than 1% of his nebuilios 501c3 goes back to the country that spit him out. Added a tax on every pc I bought over the years. Elan is not on the list, but I wouldn't mind seeing him live forever. He's a bit different.
- citizenpaul 5y agoI've seen some of these but they all seem to be operating quietly like some zero sum I live forever you die game. That is not going to work. The amount of money they have life extension should be encouraged as a college major. People still barely think about it as a serious avenue for their life direction.
