I remember visiting Mexico from the US at the beginning of the current century and walking through a market and seeing bootleg DVDs for sale, nestled among the movies copies of AutoCad and Maya. Thinking, huh this software is really quite expensive and there must be demand for it world wide. Being excellent, open source and free it pretty much changed the 3d software landscape globally. I found it odd they didn't include that video on the homepage. Its pretty great showcase of the tool (I learned its python scriptable!)
