Hopefully there is some recourse to the actual copyright owners owed the lost 20 million directly from A.R. or YouTube.
- intricatedetail 5y agoSince this is in my opinion YT fault they should pay and then pursue the money from the scammers on their own. Hopefully YT won't wiggle their way out of this.

- dredmorbius 5y agoThere's a strong case to be made that YT: - Failed due diligence. - Made infringing performances of the work. - Misrepresented the authorship and/or ownership (moral rights). - Are liable for infringement. - And owe the true copyright owners both the lost revenue and an infringement penalty. This case could get quite interesting.
