If you're a high-caliber software developer who creates highly-coveted DAO programs, you will be a target and consequently need to protect your identity. On the other hand, if you're a malicious actor, you also benefit by the anonymity and can introduce various measures into the DAO that advance your own personal interests at the cost of the rest.
