I agree. The article feels weird. To me the topic is complex. Absolutely you can do it yourself, but that is also a common pitfall. The belief that something can just be built in x amount of seconds by yourself comes with several risks. Building is easy, committing to a lifecycle is hard and managing the technical debt is an important part of the job. I'm trying not to build a house of cards.
