If you want to use an Rpi4 as a desktop, you should seriously considered one of the more mainstream 64 bit distributions. I use Manjaro, for example, and it is excellent and far superior to Raspian, which is better suited to being an introductory OS for the lower end Pis. I use raspian on the Pi’s that I don’t use as desktops.
