- krisoft 5y agoYes, it is complicated. And that is why you need the lawyer.

- jfrunyon 5y agoIf you've been subpoenaed, you're not talking to a cop, so "don't talk to cops" isn't complicated at all. The full phrase - "don't talk to cops except upon the advice of your lawyer" - isn't complicated either.
