History API could improve on user experience. But I'm having issue with certain browser on iOS with swipe gestures that take you to the back and forward page. Firefox, Opera GX, etc will simple lose its scroll position whenever I swiped, while it doesn't happen on Safari and Google Chrome. This seem related to the infinite scroll page vs fixed page height. Most of the site I have explore didn't appear to solve that annoyed issue as it happened to YouTube content on mobile too.
