I'm pretty sure we're headed for a recession. People have figured out that buying the latest gadget is not going to fix their real problems.

  Well aggregate supply shocks lead to both lower output AND higher prices across the board. So you have a recession and inflation. The last time I think we saw similar shocks was in 1979 and 1973.

    Even if those problems did not exist we'd still be headed for a recession. The pandemic has given a lot of people time to think and some, maybe even most, have probably realized that the current economy is not actually serving their interests.

        I don't think it failed. It worked as expected for a system that is built for profits instead of actual healthcare. Which I guess makes my point about the economy not working for people's interests.
