I'd say it's likely that the founders can't pay you much more. You can explain your situation, maybe ask for more stock options. You say it's a quickly growing startup, so besides cashing in your stock options a few years down the road, there are probably plenty of chances for a rockstar hacker in the future. Plus, you say you love your job. Combined with this economy... I'd sit this one out for a couple more years!
