  I cannot test as I had to go back to using Docker since I have issues with podman and docker-compose, but you might want to give it a try. It might work out of the box if you start the podman daemon that exposes docker APIs. If you already do but run the service as a user, you might need to set the env var to DOCKER_HOST to unix://$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/podman/podman.sock first
