Same age baby here, it worked well for mine when she was 6 to 10 months old. After that these kinds of tricks didn't really work anymore. A normal stuffed toy now has the same effect as a sound and "breathing" one, she holds it and goes to sleep and when she doesn't want to sleep the toy makes no difference.
