I found this website useful for helping me understand what was going on with git. https://learngitbranching.js.org/ https://learngitbranching.js.org/ GUI vs CLI shouldn't be about which is a less confusing way of using git. (Though, yes, magit is excellent, and there are very few tools which come close).
