You're arguing that fish cause ocean currents?
Are airplanes the source of wind?
- b112 5y agoCows apparently cause a massive environmental impact. Goats, without predators, can turn plain and even forest into desert. Animals cause impact to the environment. we've removed trillions of tonnes of active biomass from the oceans. What impact has that?
- bink 5y agoNo one is saying fish don't have an impact on the environment. You're apparently arguing that they have an impact on ocean currents, which is a claim that is out there enough that people at least expect a source.
- b112 5y agoNo source, except in my mind. However, trees dramatically impact rainfall, wind severity (they act as a windbreak), soil retention, and more. By removing all that biomass in the ocean, all sorts of flora and fauna have vanished, and/or changed ratios. If organisms on land can literally change climate, and even the windstreams over time, why not in the ocean?
