US reaps benefits as fallout from Australia's trade row with China hits $17b
- stanislavb 5y agoTo summarize: - Australia speaks out "against" China (e.g. to investigate initial source of Covid). - China punishes AU by blocking a lot of trade sectors. - China replaces AU stocks with US stocks. i.e. CPP might be paying a bit more in some cases, but it still get's what it wants with regards to commodities and manages to punish AU plus adds some tension to the US-AU relationship. Well played.
