Given how each Web n.0 is met with fizzling hype, it's kinda surprising to see some of the people hyping Web 3.0.
I agree that decentralization will be important going forward. There are some specs starting to emerge that give me hope that a decentralized, open, and free web is still possible. For example: https://www.w3.org/TR/did-core/ https://www.w3.org/TR/did-core/
Maybe we should call it Web 3.1 or something. The typical bug fix point release.
