My daughter loves to be a princess... Not any particular Disney princess, but loves it.. She also loves to be a doctor, astronaut, grocery store clerk, firefighter, construction worker, chef etc... I grew up watching non stop Disney, in a family of mostly strong independent women who also loved Disney princesses. Nothing wrong with the stereotypical fairytales... If you/your child is consumed by it, you need some more exposure to other things
