The whole Princess part of Disney culture comes across as pretty gross tbh. I don't have kids but have talked about this with friends. Even though they wanted to keep their daughters away from it, it's nearly impossible.
- sergers 5y agoMy daughter loves to be a princess... Not any particular Disney princess, but loves it.. She also loves to be a doctor, astronaut, grocery store clerk, firefighter, construction worker, chef etc... I grew up watching non stop Disney, in a family of mostly strong independent women who also loved Disney princesses. Nothing wrong with the stereotypical fairytales... If you/your child is consumed by it, you need some more exposure to other things
