I really expected to hate the dial-based interface in my (non-touch) BMW but I actually grew to quite like it.
- formerly_proven 5y agoPutting a touchpad on top of the dial for OCR is kinda ingenius and works rather nicely.
- jen20 5y agoWait, that does OCR?! I only realized the other day that you can pinch to zoom on it…
- mh- 5y agoyup! When you're in the address entry screen where you spin the wheel to spell out something, try drawing letters with your finger. A Wacom-style depiction of what you drew will appear on the screen. Lift your finger to do the next letter. I've had varied success with it. Usually faster to spin the wheel.
