This makes total sense and was my experience with attending college in the US as well. But tbh, most social relationships get pretty hard after you graduate university because I guess people just don't have as much time for random socialising which decreases one's ability to meet someone one clicks with.
- beagle3 5y agoNew York is like that too - everyone has the “transitory” mind set and won’t waste time on long term social ties - even the people who have lived there for 20 years. I don’t know if that’s how the rest of the US is, never having lived there. But from my own experience and that of friends, it’s very different in Germany, Britain, Ireland and Israel.
