Bitcoin’s energy consumption is completely unrelated to how many transactions it can process.
- simondotau 5y agoFalse. It's not linear, it's not directly related, but it's certainly not unrelated. As reliance on a blockchain increases, as it becomes normalised in our daily lives, the number of entities motivated to be part of the blockchain increases. As the number of entities increases, the number of compute cycles per transaction increases.
