When I go shopping in shop with FFP2 mask mandate, about 10% of people wear the mask properly. The rest have gaping holes between their faces and masks. BTW that includes me, as I see no point in the benefit/discomfort ratio, being vaccinated and moderately young. Light incidental exposure may even help boost the immune response, though I will reevaluate once B1.1.529 is common. IMO, those who want to, can¹ wear masks properly and then it's very effective (see infections in covid hospital personnel), but masks tend to be uncomfortable, so most people don't. ¹ some can't, but then maybe we also shouldn't be driving so we don't kill people that way
