New identity verification process to access certain IRS online tools and service
- PopAlongKid 5y agoNow the IRS is using ID.me service. I also used this as (part of) the easiest way to get my REAL ID driver's license in California last year.[0] Is ID.me become the new de facto government standard for online ID verification? The common comment I hear among tax professionals is that "many" of their clients (the older ones, anyway), will have a hard time submitting a video or selfie of themselves as part of the process.
