Rediscovery of calculus in 1994: what should have happened to that paper?
- a0-prw 5y agoIt's amusing that this happened and embarrassing for the journal, the author and reviewers. I don't see that there are grounds for retraction, though. Retraction should be reserved for articles which are incorrect, based on fake data, plagiarized, etc.
- 8bitsrule 5y agoGreat things about publishing known facts: reviewers (often short on history) less likely to question, seldom proven wrong.
