This is probably a controversial opinion but I don't really understand why people are concerned about inflation. The ongoing pandemic and global warming are much more important issues. I live in the US and no matter how bad inflation gets all my material needs will continue to be adequately met. The pandemic and global warming on the other hand are legitimate issues that do not have any obvious solutions. Worrying about inflation seems like a distraction from thinking about how to address actual existential crises.
