- quantified 5y agoHow did we ever make it from Australopithecus to the Enlightenment without brightly colored nursery toys? After raising kids and weathering the fears of suboptimality, color me skeptical that it makes much difference. Having parents that are over-attuned to social media trends might, but before social media there were plenty of other trend drivers. What astounds me is that beige might be a trend. It’s the definition of boring and lacking in imagination. In some circles it’s slang for exactly those.
