Lush Exits Social Media
- afavour 5y agoThey’ll still be on YouTube and if we’re talking potential for harm then YT and it’s algorithm are surely up there with the likes of Snapchat. That said I still hope this isn’t just a marketing stunt: > Instead of using the platforms, Lush will invest in new ways to connect I would love to see more companies investing in creating their own social communities/sites/whatever.
- bob331 5y agoSpeak to anyone who has ever worked at lush and you will realise they are a mad irresponsible cult who refuse to call the police when their staff are sexually assaulted because of “karma”. No company has ever been more in need of an undercover expose
- jelling 5y agoWhile some see this as a marketing stunt, I think it's a successful founder that now dramatically over-estimates his personal importance: > "I'm not willing to expose my customers to this harm, so it's time to take it out of the mix." {Lush co-founder Mark Constantine} Trust me, they're not using social media because of your brand and less ads definitely won't drive them away. I bet he's gone within a year.
