We have a 12-cup Bialetti as our daily driver. Our 6-cup Bialetti is now the travel pot, currently sitting on the inlaw's stove. It goes with us nearly everywhere. I don't take it backpacking, but I have pulled off making coffee with it on top of my backpacking stove. The stack looks like a rocket on the launchpad, ready to topple over, but, so far, it hasn't. Wonderful technology. Like a Guy Clark song, it's 'Stuff That Works.'
