Also shows that when the USA prevented people in nursing homes from even going outside (to get sun exposure) it was the worse thing they could have done. So the "lockdown" had direct impact on increasing likelihood of nursing home deaths.
- f6v 5y agoNow you’re just speculating. The difference between association and causation has been already mentioned in this thread.
- destitude 5y agoAnd you are only referencing the linked (now somewhat old) study. Other newer studies have already proven the link.

Despite ongoing vaccinations, we recommend raising serum 25(OH)D levels to above 50 ng/mL to prevent or mitigate new outbreaks due to escape mutations or decreasing antibody activity.

Is this something you feel is supported by the article or is this your own synthesis? And if it's the latter what sources led you to that conclusion?
- ummonk 5y agoAside from denying them the benefits of Vitamin D and sun exposure, you're basically confining residents to a petri dish of circulating virus.
- bronto 5y agoHave you not set foot in a poorer nursing home? You don't need a source to understand they aren't let outside much or given vitamin D. Just go pay those old people a visit and ask.
