The End of Trust: Suspicion is undermining the American economy

- chiefalchemist 5y agoTrust (i.e., the lack there of) has been a leading signal since pre-2016. It's driving social norms, the political process, as well as the interpretation of pandemic experts. Has (lack of) trust spilled over into the economy? Well, of course. It's everywhere. Mind you, this "force" isn't often recognized and acknowledged so this article isn't a total loss. But if trust is the basis of every relationship - and it is - then things are going to trend worse before they get better.
