Indeed, this is the obvious risk of allowing a TSMC monopoly, and its "fabless" customers have little justification for complaining. AMD is not the savior here, nor any other TSMC customer. Intel completely squandered its lead, and now we really need to hope they can catch up and remain competitive. We shouldn't allow TSMC to take total control of the market.
