- tpoacher 5y agoMy personal definition / distinction between ML and AI is that the latter refers to an agent, whereas the former refers to an optimization procedure. True, there are times where a system can be described as both to some degree, but one is typically more than the other. In the case of Amazon automation processes, I would call that ML. In that, you are more likely to tweak the parameters to tweak the procedure directly, instead of having to interface with an AI agent's "communication interface" to achieve the same.
- pixelgeek 5y agoThis site helps me realise just how little I know about things and that I should try to keep my comments to myself more often :-) This is a good lesson to learn. Sadly I need to be reminded of it far too often
- pixelgeek 5y agoI have these knee-jerk reactions that I get from reading the mainstream news and reacting to its attempts to dumb down writing and overgeneralise issues like this.
